Chamomile had a surprisingly profound effect on me both times I took it. The first experience felt intense and overwhelming, I crashed emotionally and physically, and a flood of childhood memories surfaced that seemed to demand processing. During that period, I needed a great deal of rest, both mentally and physically. A few months later, I tried chamomile again and noticed a different effect. While I still felt the need for deep physical rest, mentally I felt much lighter, calmer, and even cheerful. The most striking part of this second experience was the sense of emotional closure it brought. It stirred in me a genuine desire to let the past rest, to keep the lessons I’ve learned without continuing to carry the pain and suffering forward as part of my future story.
