Backstory: I am not going to sugarcoat it. My parents did not really want to be married. Was it an arranged marriage? Well, yes and no. Technically, they both agreed to get married when asked by the elders. However, they agreed out of loyalty to tribal practices, not because they wanted to be married to each other.

Growing up in the United States, I longed to be a love child. I wished that my parents had met and married for the sake of their love for each other. But that was not the case, and they ended up divorcing when I was 18.

Many years later, when I was a wife and a mother myself, I did an Akashic Record reading, and the reader told me that I was “the love child of ancestral trauma.” That made me so sad. It hit my heart like a ton of bricks. It also reminded me of a time when I was with my mom and my aunts on a road trip. I was about five years old. My aunts saw a sign on the side of the road that said psychic readings were available at the next exit. My mom swerved quickly to exit, and they all decided to get a reading. It was all very mysterious to five-year-old me. What was a psychic, anyway?

My mom happily went into the room alone with the psychic and came out angry and frustrated. My aunts and I were alarmed, and we asked her what happened and what the psychic had said. My mom answered that the psychic told her if she did not work out her problems with Hamid, my dad, she would come back with him in another lifetime. She said, “Isn’t this life with him enough?” At the time, I did not know how to process any of that. As an adult, I came to understand.

So when the Akashic Record reader told me I was the love child of ancestral trauma, I thought to myself that this was going to change. If my parents did not come together in love in this lifetime, I would bring them together in love within this remedy. Sufi is a nod to my dad, who was in many ways my first spiritual teacher. Long before it was trendy, he was reading about spirituality, metaphysics, crystals, numerology, manifestation, and more. Sumra is a nod to my mom, who was the matriarch of the family. She was the eldest daughter of ten children, and in many ways she was a mother to many of them. She would always sing an Ahwazi colloquial song that went: “Sumra ya sumra”.. You can’t find it on google, I’ve tried.

Sufi and Sumra had to be born, and it absolutely had to contain Petrified Wood Essence. I made Petrified Wood Essence and was not able to take it for about two years. I had to feel ready. I have often said that I never recommend this remedy. It has to call you.
